ten days into the new year and,well,there are no big distractions to keep me from trying to figure out the answer to my big existential question of the past year or so: now what? the saints are out of the playoffs,and i don’t frankly care who wins the superbowl from here [...] yes,it is now carnival season,officially. i’m always amazed every year how this town glides so effortlessly from christmas to new year’s to poof,now it’s carnival season,without missing a beat. and this year it will be such a long season –mardi gras isn’t until march 8th! last night i decided [...] well surprise,surprise. just when i thought the arty-crafty biz was in the shitter…suddenly,without me even really trying much,stuff is selling. (thank you,universe!) i put very little effort into marketing this holiday,i made very little “new”stuff (i made some bottlecap signs and a handful of clocks and printed [...] i’m actually pretty much DONE decking my halls…of my new apartment,that is! it’s been almost a month since i wrote in this blog last,but i have a pretty good excuse:november was moving month for me. well,first fae moved out in october,and then i had a few weeks of limbo [...] the anticipation of moving is just about killing me. i can start moving in on the 10th,though i’m paying rent on iberville until the 20th (my 30 days notice). the days can’t move fast enough. it feels like the pace of my life has picked up considerably in the past week or so. every [...] things are slowly falling into place. if you read my livejournal or facebook,then you already know that the last week had been a big one for me. up until last weekend,i was still pretty much looking for a roommate,very unsuccessfully. i thought i had one gal who was very interested,but she [...] |  | |||||
