this 12″ x 12″ mixed media painting is on 1/4″ birch ply and only uses black, white and shades of grey acrylic paint, as well as graphite, as an exercise in contrast. i really have no idea what’s going on here in this whimsical, maybe futuristic (?) cityscape with a cute cat and a blazing sun, but it makes me smile.
