i’ve already gone on at length numerous times in this blog about taking CVP and what that has meant to me as an artist. i’m not gonna rehash all of that again as you can read some of the linked posts if you want, but i did want to just add a new post to say that enrollment is open now through 11:59pm pacific time on thursday march 12th, both for new folks and for alums. the price for new folks is $2397 if paid in full or they have a 6-month installment plan at $437/month. or you can do what i did which was use paypal credit which offers a 6-month no interest option, which saves you the $225 extra if you pay it off in time. for alums it’s $497 which is pretty hard to pass up and can almost certainly be made back with sales of what you make during the class.
the first time rate is definitely expensive for most people, though, especially in this economy. even moreso if you live outside the US, due to exchange rates. art2life has not raised the price since i first became aware of this program in 2022, which is refreshing, but it’s still a lot and beyond most folks’ means unless you have a credit card you can throw it on or the monthly payments make it more doable for you. (i do write it off as a business expense, but still.) so i get it and certainly do not fault anyone for not being able to afford it. i couldn’t even consider it the first year i heard about and i was so upset i couldn’t take it cuz i felt like i was ready and would have benefited.
but passing it up that first year (2023) and regretting it made me realize after the fact just how much i really wanted to work on my art and myself and become better, get closer to having a functional art business again, and it opened me up to not passing up the next opportunity that came along, which was louise fletcher’s find your joy class. not gonna go into all that again here, as you can search my site for FYJ posts, but the successes i had with her class and selling what i made in it pushed me to keep going, so when nick’s CVP came around again in 2024, i just knew i had to take the leap regardless of practicality. i had proven i could make it work so i just jumped, hoping the net would appear.
even though i knew it wasn’t practical or maybe even smart financially, i took the risk. and i have not regretted it one bit. that year the universe intervened and i had an unexpected windfall that helped me pay off my first CVP before the 6 month promotional period was over on paypal credit. i have since sold some of the work from that class but didn’t in the immediate aftermath, as i was still unsure about it. it actually took taking it a second time to appreciate what i’d made the first time! and it was after the second year – after nick’s bonus art business module – that i finally got my shit together to get the shop up on my website so i can sell my work myself.
coming back for the second year of CVP in 2025 also opened up the possibility of doing the affiliate program, which surprisingly paid off and covered my course fees and art supplies. i am doing the affiliate program again this year… which is why i’m spending so much time talking about CVP right now. (though i probably would anyways just cuz i believe in the program and i’ve always used this blog to try to share my experiences to help others.) so… if you are considering signing up and have found your way here while trying to get more info about it, please consider helping me out by using my affiliate link: https://artlife.samcart.com/referral/8eV9u3i8/hG4IF7u1jL8iLZ5V.
if you are on the fence and have questions about the details of the program and want some honest opinions from someone who has taken it twice and has not had overnight success but has seen steady incremental progress and feels like the program definitely helped, feel free to reach out via email or facebook or instagram. i promise i’m not gonna give you a hard sell, just my honest assessment from my own experience. i’m happy to talk to anyone, online, via text or on the phone, if you just need to talk though it. it’s a big commitment of money, time and energy. but if you really commit to it, i promise it will make a difference in your art and life, like it has for 10K+ artists who’ve taken it over the past 10 years.
so yeah, give it some good consideration. sleep on it. talk to others about it. you have til thursday the 12th. and just holler if there’s anything i can help you with.
