this is one of 3 folk art style small paintings i made in the summer of 2025 in different colorways with the eyeball motif and the words “wake up” when i first got the idea for this design and was working it out. at first the eyeball was not a zombie eyeball but more bloodshot. and the full wording ended up being “wake up before it’s too late.” blue background and the eyeball is bright green with yellow squiggles. the green and yellow are used for the wording.

i would eventually go on to make the zombie eyed “wake up” design that i ended up using on tshirts, stickers, buttons and more. but as with much of my art, i work it out in one medium before perfecting it another. it was a progression. but i like these little folk art smalls too and might still paint more of them.

this is a one of a kind piece of art.
